Season:

Thoughts after the Sorrentino/Sposito wedding

Yesterday, I asked my cousin in law if she'd mind if I took a few photos of her wedding.  She welcomed me with open arms.

I normally go to events and take photos for fun--no pressure, no obligations.  This was my first time ACTING like a professional photographer and it was quite nerve racking.  I was fine when it was just bride and me.  But when the other photographer came, I felt weird being there.  I had the luxury of spending the morning w/ the bride and was able to take some artsy shots, as well as some posed ones.  I pushed through the church w/ the photographer but felt my flash was too weak in the dim lit church.  A lot of photos were blurry, grainy, and just not as great.  I also felt very weird getting into the way of other people. That's something I'll have to get over but I just couldn't force myself to stay in the middle aisle along w/ the other photographer.  Instead I took long shots...

I didn't take many photos at ALL during the receptoin, again, too dim.  Plus w/ the hundreds of digital cameras around, I felt like she'll have her pick from them.  I still don't have a good handle for indoor shots on my camera.

Overall, I'm please with the outcome. There should be plenty of good shots for her. I weeded out 34 that I liked, and then my husband helped me narrow down 22 (see photos tab).
