 Due to the tourney running into Monday and Tuesday of next week, we will only have 8 players after Sunday!

We will NOT be participating in the Moline tourney at this time!

I have asked the president of the league to look into moving up 3 players from coach pitch allstars for this weekend and she will be getting back to me, so this may change later today!

I will let you know via email should anything change and if so we will be practicing at Hodge 7p-8p the next 3 nights (Wed., Thurs., Fri.), but only if we get 3 coach pitch players----so stay tuned this afternoon.

Please check this site often as this saves us valuable time in passing on information about the Rock Island Minors Allstar Team, cancelations, schedule changes, needs, locations  and times. This also helps keep the coaches off of the phone and on the field.

 Allstar practices will be mentally tough and phyiscally challenging, please make sure your athlete is prepared for this prior to practices.

 The player expectation is that your athletes are on site early enough to be prepared to start practice at the scheduled time, fully rested and fully hydrated prior to practice, nutritionally stong with emphasis on protein type diets over the next few weeks, mentally rested and ready to perform 110% every time they step on the field as an Rock Island  Minor League Allstar. 

 The tourney begins on July 7 and runs through July 13, it is a double ellimination bracketed event, once we receive the bracket,  it will be scanned for this web site and put under the "Files" page listed on the top of the site as well as the "Schedule" icon.

 The updated "Schedule" and "Roster" have been been put in place and are listed under the icons at the top of this page. Please check back often as we all know how fast things change and I will update all info as soon as I get it. Let me know if anyones info chancges or is incorrect.

Allstar Uniform: Cleats, Yellow Socks, Grey Pants, Cup, Red Belt, Allstar Tshirt Uniform (to be issued asap), Allstar Hat (to be issued asap) - (batting gloves and  black eye glare paint are optional but recomended).

Expectations of Parents - Lead good sportmanship by example, have your athlete on site early enough to be prepared to start on time, less parent pressure for your athlete to perform is always best (thats our job!), plenty of support and encouragement to do their best on the field, young athlete mental and physical preparedness is key to the next few weeks and they all need your help (no swimming on practice days, no late nights, no all day video game binges, etc....) At all games - with good sportsmanship in mind - be prepared to be loud (cow bells, noise makers etc...) and assist in decorating the dug out and stands in anyway you can come up with (balloons, RI colors, banners, etc...)  - Lets let them all know right up front what Rock Island Little League is all about!
