What a game. 13 young ladies giving it their all. Some not feeling well, others getting abused on the field.
Under a scorching sun. On a bad field. With lousy officiating. We gave the team from Freeport all they could handle. It is very tough 11 vs 14. Our girls handled themselves with total class, and the parents did not storm the field. Well done everyone.
Eveca notched a goal from a great cross from Shayna.
I will not post the score because it should have been closer, if the Yellows had done their job for which they get paid.

Game time is Noon and the game will be played at the Fpt Recreation Field. Please arrive 30 minutes before game time.

Freeport Recreational Field
Take exit 22 off from I-295.
Turn left off from exit ramp if coming from the North...
take a right if coming from the South.
You will immediately come to a stop sign. Turn left onto Durham Rd. which will turn into Pownal Road once you make a sharp right hand curve.
Go approx. 8/10th of a mile, you will see the Freeport Transfer Station on the left, immediately after that road the field will be on your left. Fields are in front of you.

The sun was out. The pitch was very warm. The Bluesharks were hot. A total team effort in a very dominating win over Merrymeeting. After falling behind 1-nil on an own gaol, we did not panic. We played our game. A well deserved 4-1 victory.

A total team effort results in a tie with the state champs. The Southern Maine BlueSharks made a statement on Saturday May 17, that we are a team that needs to be taken very seriously. The Scarboroughs, Sanfords, Coastals, and Metros, may be well known. But we can hang with the big names now. We may be low budget, but we are big heart,and big talent.

Sunday June 1st
The game will be played at the Riverside Field in Topsham.It is located off the Foreside Road. The main routes to the field are Route 196, Route 201,Route 24(Elm Street) and then Foreside Road.

A great game well played by all our players. Our Defenders were disiplined, Midfielders were attacking our strikers kept their goalie busy, and our goalie came up big when needed. WELL DONE!
