All activities for Saturday 25th have been cancelled due to the rain. (homerun derby..base running competion...and 14 year old vs. mothers all have been canceled)

The picnic will be held rain or shine on Monday.

We finished with a record of 10-2, finishing on top of our division. I can't tell you all how great of a team we had this year, how well everyone came together as a team and pulled each other through the ups and downs of the games. We managed to keep it together with our team having more lineup changes, pulling up from the pigtail league and vacations...more so than any other team we played.
We have the Leauge Picnic on Monday June 26th @ 5:30 at the cow barns next to the ball field. This is a pot luck picnic, so bring a covered dish if you can. You will also need place settings and drinks for you family.
The league will provide the chicken. Award Ceremony will follow immediately following the picnic. 13 year old vs coaches following the awards ceremony. Pool party from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Hope everyone can make it!!
We could not have been as good of a team without the help of Coach Buck Butler. His time and dedication to the team has been great. Also the for generous use of all his equipment was huge for us. Please be sure to thank Buck for all his help. Buck, thanks for everything.
Pam & Lee Smith have also helped me in so may ways, I don't think I can list them all. Pam for keeping the scorebook, (a big responsibility), and keeping me somewhat calm when I needed it. Also helping the girls keep focused and keeping them fired up. Pam Thank You!!
Lee, your help before the games with batting practice and tips for the girls has paid off in many differant ways. With all that is happening before the game, your help was really needed and you stepped up big. Thanks Lee.
Girls, thank your parents for making time for you to play ball this year. For them to bring you to all the practices and all the games is a lot of time, effort and expense. It takes a lot of dedication on their part to make this happen, so appreciate what they have done for you. This group of parents has been nothing but great for me, and for that, Thank You all!!
I want to thank my wife Lora for putting up me this year, not really knowing what to do at differant times. Thanks for all your help, couldn't have done it without you! Love Ya.
Tournaments...still in works for us yet, no official word on any for the girls at the Martinsburg League. There is differant team tournaments in other Leagues, but no officail dates on them yet either. I would like us to play some, but understand vacations and other activities are coming up. If we have enough girls to get a team together, have some practices, (we need hitting practice) it would be great. I'll be in touch ASAP if anything becomes final.
Finally...Thanks for putting up with me. I havn't done everything right at times, but you girls saved me time after time. It has been a WONDERFULL experiance for me, one I can't really express in words. The only way I can is to say Thank You all for everything, I love you girls and this team. You will always be "my girls" from this point on. I will NEVER forget any of you and will follow you through your school years and beyond.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the beautiful flowers and the card. Also for all your prayers. Can't wait to see all of you! I am doing very good, I came home today, Sunday, June 11, 2006. And I am very pleased to hear that we won our game on Saturday. WAY TO GO GIRLS!!! And thanks Lexi and Meghan, I heard you two did great.

First off, let's wish Cassie a quick recovery from her surgery. We can't wait to see you, and you are in our thoughts. Hope to see you at our next game!

We somehow found a way to win. A tough, come from behind late inning victory. We came out strong, kinda fell asleep, but finished strong. A mark of a good team is not quitting and staying focused. With Briana pitching a strong game,(under some very stressfull conditions) and our smart at bats, we came out on top.
Our two minor league girls (Megan & Lexie) played very well and helped the team. Thanks to the both of them.

We have three games left, 2 regular season and 1 make-up game to play. The other teams are playing better as the season goes on, so there is no easy game left. We are still trying to get a date for the make-up game scheduled with the league. Finding a open date with umpires that fits both teams schedule is very difficult, but we will make it up for sure. As soon as we know, we will let you know.
Again, great win....and we can finish strong with our group of girls. GREAT JOB!!!!
Lora is trying to get the latest pictures (party) loaded onto the site; however, the problem lies with the Totalleague site so please be patient....she'll get them on as soon as possible.
Also they have a Leauge Picnic listed for Monday, June 26th. No time or other details are listed, but we should know something soon.

Just a reminder.....as stated on the front sheet of the Snack Bar Schedule..."if the game you are scheduled to work is cancelled due to rain or other circumstances you will need to work on the date and time the game is rescheduled." This is out of our control and is the same for every team. We have been assured that games can only be rescheduled due to rainouts and other valid reasons and not for personal convenience. We will make sure that our times to work on rescheduled games are known as soon as possible. If, for some reason, there is absolutely no way you can work your scheduled time, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make arrangements. Sorry for any confusion this has caused.
