Here we go  again. Lots of spring baseball this year 25 games scheduled but you know weather will effect some games.The league has 16 teams divided into 2 divisions. Should be some good baseball.

The boys will be playing in the New Era Cap Classic from June 24-27. They will be sporting their new caps that were provided by the tournament. It will be a competitive 12 team field. The best thing about it is that it is in Monroeville. 

We are now officially entered into Triple Crowns "Battle on the Border 2010" . We are going back to defend our title and hopefully come back with another one. The tournament is scheduled for June 4-6 2010.  By paying early we saved $50 and that is always a good thing! Mark your calenders.

The Plum boys are going to be heading to  West Virginia. to participate in the "12U Beast of the East Tournament " July 15-18. This should be a good test for them in preparation for Cooperstown. Here is the link not much there yet but they will be updating soon.

The GHG was rolling this past weekend going 6-0 against some of the toughest teams in the region! It was truly a team effort if I ever saw one. Every boy did their job and had a hand in one victory or another. They came out hot vs Shaker Heights Raiders(11-4) and continued it against Norwin Knights (11-1). Those 2 victories earned them top seed for the Championship Bracket. Wins against Boardman Thunder (6-5) and The Revolution (7-6) sent them to the semifinals. The Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs had just come off of 2 10 run decisions over Franklin & Peters Twp. The boys sent them home by the score of 7-3 in an excellent display of defense and offence. The finals had the #2 seed New Castle Riverbats waiting for us. They stepped up to the challenge and defeated them 6-3. Congratulations GHG 35 teams only 1Survivor!   YINZ
