Registration will be held on Saturday morning, October 6th and October 13th at Ridgefield Parks & Recreation Center, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Ridgefield Raptors, Ridgefield's youth wrestling program for elementary (3rd grade and up*) and middle school athletes will start its 14th season on Monday, November 5th, 2007 (at the RHS Aux Gym, at 7:00 p.m.)

*2nd graders will be considered on a case by case basis

PRACTICE SCHEDULE: (for both ES and MS teams), Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at RHS's auxiliary gym, 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. - see attached schedule

Wrestling practices are held three days a week through November. Commencing December, practice will be held two evenings a week followed by Thursday evening dual meet competitions against other youth league teams (SEE SCHEDULE TAB). Dual meet season ends on February 2nd with League championship tournament.

WEEKEND USAWCT, "OPEN" & "NOVICE" MEET COMPETITIONS: USAWCT sanctioned competitions are held on Sundays at host schools throughout CT (participation in a minimum number of these tournaments is strongly encouraged). Cost to compete on Sunday's is $15.00 per wrestler (with a family cap) paid to the sponsoring host team - see www.usawct.org web site for additional tournament details (when posted). State championships held in February.
